  • Establishment of the new Silat Centre of Excellence (S.C.O.E) in April.

  • 1st Asia Pacific Pencak Silat Championship – Singapore.

  • 1st Sijori Pencak Silat Championship – Tanjong Pinang, Indonesia.

  • 8th Belgium Pencak Silat Open Championship – Brasschats, Schoten.

  • First Artistic Foreign Coach appointed.

  • First full-time National Women’s coach appointed by Singapore Silat Federation

  • 2 full-time National Men’s coaches appointed.

  • 2nd Sijori Pencak Silat Championship in Pasir Gudang, Johor,Malaysia.

2004
 
 
  • Endorsed by the Ministry of Education as a CCA in schools. Since then, schools such as Northland Primary and institutions like NUS, NTU/ NIE, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic,    Nanyang Polytechnic Republic Polytechnic, MacPherson ITE, Bedok ITE, Balestier ITE, Simei ITE and Bishan ITE have encored this approval to conduct Silat lessons for students.

  • Implementation of Singa Silat programme in Silat Centre of Excellence (SCOE). There are now about 69 Singa Silat members of age group between 8 – 11 years.

  • 8th World Pencak Silat Championship 2004 held for the first time in Singapore. The Singapore squad bagged 4 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals.

  • 10th France Open Pencak Silat Championship in France.

  • The establishment of Singa Cub in Silat Centre of Excellence (SCOE), with 8 young members, aged 3-7 years old.

  • Singapore Silat Federation Fundraising Golf 2005 at Raffles Country Club.
  • Swiss International Pencak Silat Open Championship – Switzerland
  • International Pencak Silat Referee Upgrading Course 2005 – Singapore Sports School, Singapore
