| The September holidays are here and how are our young ones going to spend their time? How about spending 4 days camping and doing all things silat? | ||||
For the Pre Singapore Sports Selection Team, they check in today for the S.I.L.A.T (Silat Interactive Learning and Training) camp. This camp which is part of their selection to enter next year's batch of Sport School Silat athletes runs from 31st August 2006 to 4th September 2006. Throughout the 4 days, this group of about 30 odd athletes will be undergoing spiritual, educational and hoilistic training on top of their daily Silat regime. Some of the activities these potential champions will be doing include rapelling, religious and tuition classes. A special setup using ropes has been set up in the premises of the Silat Centre Of Excellence itself to accomodate some of the exciting activities |

Another interesting aspect of this camp is that it will be run mainly by the Senior National Athletes. Camp Commander Dzulfadly, who is also SSF's National Coach, said that getting the National Athletes run this would allow these kids to find out how to be champions directly.
