This project is based on supporting Silat SEA Games athletes with their funding. The funds raised will be utilized for overseas training, and competition and bring elite-level sparring partners to Singapore. The campaign will showcase the athlete team and coaching team. The campaign is planned for pre-SEA Games selection for a period of 3 months. The whole campaign will be run entirely online and support the coverage of the athletes.
The Singapore Silat Federation (“NSA”) has on 8 August 2022 signed the Collective Policy thereby agreeing to at all times:
1. Recognise and accept the Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS) as the National Anti-Doping Organisation designated by the Singapore Government as having the responsibility for all doping matters relating to sport in Singapore;
2. Accept the Anti-Doping Policy of Singapore and the ADS Anti-Doping Rules, both of which are established in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Code, as the basis for the fight against doping in sport;
3. Adopt the Anti-Doping of Singapore and the ADS Anti-Doping Rules either directly or by reference into our governing documents, constitution and/or rules and regulations, and which shall have binding force and effect on our members and Participants; and
4. Agree to observe, abide by and implement the provisions of the Anti-Doping Policy of Singapore and the ADS Anti-Doping Rules in respect of our affairs and activities.
The Singapore Silat Federation condemns the use of doping in sport. It recognises the right of all its Athletes to participate in a sport that is free from the misuse of drugs. The Singapore Silat Federation is committed to educate, inform and test, as appropriate, participants competing in Pencak Silat in Singapore, and representing Singapore, so that it remains a drug-free sport.
It is a requirement of participation in the sport that all its Athletes, Athlete support personnel and other persons under the jurisdiction of the Singapore Silat Federation comply with the Anti-Doping Policy of Singapore and the ADS Anti-Doping Rules set out and published by the Singapore Silat Federation and ADS.
In testing its Athletes, the Singapore Silat Federation is committed to handling the management of results in a confidential and accountable manner and to carry out disciplinary procedures where appropriate by the fair and independent process it has agreed with its members and with ADS, its appointed National Anti-Doping Organisation, for the collection of doping control samples. The disciplinary procedure for a contravention of these rules is published in full in the ADS Anti-Doping Rules.
The Executive Committee / Management Committee of the Singapore Silat Federation has on 8 August 2022 adopted the ADS Anti-Doping Rules as the Singapore Silat Federation’s Anti-Doping Rules.
The ADS Anti-Doping Rules published by Anti-Doping Singapore (or its successor), as amended from time to time, shall take immediate effect and be construed as rules of the Singapore Silat Federation.
APPLICATION OF ANTI-DOPING RULES
All affiliates, members, athletes, participants, staff and any other individual, paid or on a volunteer basis, who are under the jurisdiction of the Singapore Silat Federation are bound by the Anti-Doping Rules of the Singapore Silat Federation and agree to abide by these Anti-Doping Rules.
A signing ceremony was held in the Frank's Parlour on the 13th of June 2022 between Singapore Silat Federation and Frank's Parlour.

A signing ceremony was held in the ActiveSG Silat Hall at Heartbeat@Bedok on the 15th of June 2022 between Singapore Silat Federation and TeraHertz Water Device.
The TeraHertz water device is a non-contact, molecular, low-frequency, resonance-activation water device that activates all drinkable fluids. This device converts the water from a cluster state into a linear structure, which can then be easily absorbed by the body cells.
This will definitely help our athletes with their training sessions daily, and we look forward to see how this will benefit our athletes in the coming months.
Objective of International Pencak Silat Ranking System
Since Pencak Silat was first established in an international competition in the 1980s, no proper ranking system was developed as a benchmark for the participants or athletes.
As years goes by, the sport was further improved and enhanced in accordance with the passage of time, just like any other martial arts in the world.
Some of the sports that have implemented ranking system are; Badminton, Football, Athletic, Tennis, Swimming, and many more.
Continuous improvements were seen in its International Pencak Silat Competition Rules and Regulations to be in par with the current trending and popularity of Mixed Martial Arts, where the sport enthusiasts are looking at full contact combat martial arts and incorporating various techniques and tactics from different martial arts.
For Pencak Silat, the importance of implementing Ranking System is to create professional standards and quality not only for the athletes but also for the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT). Next, by upholding the standards for Pencak Silat, the sport will be recognized internationally and increased the chances to be part of a competitive sport in the Olympic.
Lastly, by having Ranking System we will be able to see consistent achievements and making comparison on their abilities and performance for each participation.
The International Pencak Silat Ranking System was introduced also due to the new upgrades in the rules and regulations, and the continuation to diversify the sport and its gameplay. Plus, the international federation will be introducing new competitions on top of the Pencak Silat competition following the International Pencak Silat Competition Rules and Regulations, the new competitions are; Pencak Silat World Cup, Pencak Silat World League, World Open Freestyle Artistic Pencak Silat, Arena of Pendekar, the updated version or World Beach Pencak Silat, new Pencak Silat-A-Bility, and more to come.
8th SEA Pencak Silat Championship 2022 is the first event that kicked off for the Pencak Silat ranking system. Attached here are the full details for the athletes' achievements. Keep a lookout as it will be changes accordingly after every endorsed PERSILAT competitions.
The purpose of selection criteria is to assist in making objective decisions about the most suitable candidates for a position. Well thought out and constructed selection criteria can make selection decisions transparent and justifiable.
Safe Sport has emerged as an area of great concern globally as sporting organizations step up the fight against abuse, harassment and neglect.
Recently, the launch of a Safe Sport Programme, was announced in at the Parliamentary Committee of Supply Debate (Yahoo News, CNA, Today) to assist organizations through 3 key actions - Prevent, Address, Assure.

The community-consulted Safe Sport Unified Code will harmonize:
• the definitions for inappropriate behaviors in the sporting environment
• case management process and procedures
All participants in sport, including athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers, have a right to engage in Safe Sport. In 2018, Sport Singapore (SportSG) embarked on a multi-agency collaborative effort by launching the Safe Sport Commission and made a rallying call for the sporting fraternity to collectively safeguard sport.
In consultation with the International Olympic Committee and local authorities, SportSG and the Safe Sport Commission has developed policies and guidelines aimed towards eradicating harassment and abuse in sport. This includes establishing a reporting process for Safe Sport - related matters and providing awareness programme to ensure the public is kept informed and updated of the available support.
The Safeguarding Officer is responsible for ensuring the necessary safeguarding policies are enforced and maintained. For Singapore Silat Federation, we have appointed the following officer;

The International Pencak Silat Rules & Regulations was formed by the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT) together with the contributions and inputs from the Four Founding Members in ensuring the officiating of the games is being conducted and judged fairly and equally.
Throughout the years since the establishment of the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT) on 11 March 1980, the game play has been evolving with improvements to follow the passage of time.
Some of the significant amendments were made to the International Rules and Regulations when there are needs to be included in the multi-event games, such as Asian Beach Games, which was primarily held in Bali – Indonesia, in 2008.
The Pencak Silat International Rules and Regulations is to be applied in most of the Pencak Silat events, where in this booklet is the upgraded and improved manual since the last update in August 2013. The International Pencak Silat Federation is in planning to enhance and diversify a Pencak Silat games thru new introduce competitions, such as; *World Cup, World League, Open World Freestyle Artistic Pencak Silat Championship, and the updated version for Pencak Silat to be played on the beach.
With the vast development of digital technology, Pencak Silat will have to move in accordance with the flow modernization, and have it implemented in the current norm and practices in a Pencak Silat competition.
